Involuntary celibacy is the absence of intimate relationships or sexual intercourse for reasons other than voluntary celibacy or sexual abstinence. It describes those who, despite wanting sexual intimacy and potential romance and making repeated efforts towards such an end, cannot cause any such end(s) to occur with any significant degree of regularity — or even at all.

It is distinguished from other various celibacy types by two major overall characteristics: First, it is a pattern-like, semi-perpetual condition that cannot seem to improve despite concerted effort of the incel individual towards improving personal sex appeal and social skills to try to attract sexual partners. Second, involuntarily celibate individuals are at a complete or near-complete lack for intimate physical connection for very long spans of time — years and even sometimes decades, not merely weeks or months — and are also at a complete or near-complete lack of opportunities for sexual advancement in the first place, thereby making betterment of their own sexuality through accumulation of "sexual experience" impossible.

Many types of celibacy, including voluntary or semi-voluntary celibacy, exist throughout the spectrum of human sexuality; such instances of lack for sex are very common in the human experience. Involuntary celibacy is seen, chiefly by those who are affected by it, as a separate psychosocial issue to be taken seriously in its own right both because of the sheer extended lengths of time involved in incel "dry spells", and because such extended lack can have actual discernible negative consequences on a person's sexual development. However, despite corollaries such sleep-pattern clinics that study insomnia, sex research clinics do not seem to have much interest in studying incel.

Internet support groups exist, but because the causes of involuntary celibacy are so diverse and difficult to identify, there are no universally accepted behavioral or circumstantial alterations for overcoming the condition.

A. Study harder, get a higher paying job, save more of your money, drive a cheap car now, invest your MUNY in 6-10% interest bearing stocks, in 5 YEARS you will have too many women around you, wanting your money. SAVE that money in stocks like AT&T and Verizon that pay HIGH interest. Then Lose weight, add muscle, and make more money. You want LIFE? You WANT it? or to continue being selfish with your pride? LOVE that is not Selfish, full of pride. You will not get it without the Holy Spirit of God giving you the LOVE in your HEART. Ask God to FORGIVE you by the blood of Jesus shed at the CROSS and give you his holy spirit because Jesus rose in resurrection to GIVE you NEW LIFE. LOVE. real LIFE. not sex, sorry. adios

Is sin ever *not* a free choice?
Q. One thing I have wondered for a while is, are there ever circumstances where the decision of whether or not to sin (not talking about mortal sins on the scale of murder or adultery), is *not* subject to free will? In other words, where sin is inevitable no matter what a person does, even if the person does not consciously want to sin at all? Or where God leaves the person no other alternative except to be sinful? If so, in cases such as these, is the person truly guilty of sinning? Some possible examples that I can think of: 1. original sin (i.e., people cannot *choose* to remove their susceptibility to original sin) 2. forced theft (i.e., a criminal forces someone to engage in theft, against their will to do so...or, a starving… [cont.]

A. 1. I agree that "original sin" is not a 'choice', since we are all born with it. However, that does not give people to just say, "oh well... it's original sin". No. We are all also given the equal choice to find our way back to God through Jesus Christ and believers choose this both humbly and decisively. 2. Anything "forced" is against your will, therefore is not a choice. For example, if you have a gun to your head and someone is forcing you to steal, that is the thief's will, not your own. However, if you steal for any other reason, including food to survive, it is a sin. Many people die in this world starving to literal death without a thought of stealing someone else's food. 3. I don't understand what is "involuntary" about celibacy. [cont.]

A. It's too late. Your mind has been corrupted with negative corrupted and incorrect ideas about sex, masturbation, and semen release and a normal healthy created process in the body called sex. How dare that in taking care of yourself, you might stumble across a tinge of good feelings? Just do the healthy and not corrupt thing and masturbate occasionally. Holding semen has no health benefit and actually the opposite. Like...stress, anxiety, frustration, prostrate problems calcification of semen in there, and little peace of mind. Because of your stronger urges caused by no release, sex and sexual fantasies get blown out of proportion and every thing in life takes on a sexual overtone. Your immune system gets taxed because it gets stuck… [cont.]
